It’s not every day you’re knee-deep in a room full of authors, but for the final day of Hamilton Book Month, the Authors’ Showcase was the place to be.
The Hamilton Book Month is a month-long celebration of authors of all genres – from self-help to paranormal romance, mystery to thrillers, historical and science fiction, urban fantasy to time travel.
The month of August sees the calendar chock-a with workshops, pub quizzes, author panels, book battles and more.
Each year, the Authors’ Showcase is the last event of the month. The stage is open to local authors who have been published traditionally (as I am with Harper Collins), self-published, or a hybrid of the two.
Who knew there were so many authors in the Waikato! Each author introduced and freely spoke about any aspect of their book they wished to share, then a meet-greet-and-mingle followed with audience members and authors alike.
Several lovely ladies brought along their copies of THE MISSING PIECE for me to personally sign! Awww! It’s always a privilege to meet my readers.
