I was delighted to be invited to chat with Fabienne Vailes, a UK based author, educator, podcaster (Flourishing Education) and researcher, to talk about THE MISSING PIECE and all things ADHD.
Fabienne listened to THE MISSING PIECE via audiobook and reached out to talk further, after being diagnosed with ADHD herself earlier in the year, after struggling with her first year of phD.
Having an opportunity to openly talk about ADHD and therefore keeping the conversation alive and very well, was a joy. We chat about our curious ADHD brains, those who dismiss the disorder and other neurodiversities, and those who say “You look fine to me, you can’t possibly have ADHD.” We ponder how different traits vary so much between individuals, the long waiting list for ADHD assessment in the UK, and explore life without ADHD medication. We touch on masking, the range of emotions that can be experienced following a diagnosis, imposter syndrome and addiction.
