Guest Author Talk – Paper Plus Te Awamutu, 24 July 2024

I’m looking forward to Paper Plus Te Awamutu’s July bookclub event coming up soon.

Paper Plus Te Awamutu is open 7 days a week however, after closing hours on one Wednesday each month, they host their regular bookclub events. Avid readers, or those just interested to hear more directly from local authors, gather to chat and ask questions.

The diagnosis of adult ADHD isn’t a topic that’s going away in a hurry. Many will know someone directly who has been diagnosed, if not themselves. My book THE MISSING PIECE, written for women who are undiagnosed/newly diagnosed wanting to understand themselves better. In previous talks I have had family members, partners and parents of those diagnosed attend – they are also most welcome and they may gather some helpful insights.

It is surprising how many wonderful authors are in the Waikato! Last month, best selling author Deborah Challinor spoke about Black Silk & Sympathy, a new trilogy about a young woman who becomes an undertaker in 1860s-70s Sydney. In April local author Danielle Hawkins (from Otorohanga), with five best selling novels under her belt, talked to attendees about her latest book Take Two. And now it’s my turn with THE MISSING PIECE: A Woman’s Guide to Understanding, Diagnosing and Living with ADHD.

Paper Plus Te Awamutu is located at 55 Arawata Street, Te Awamutu. After hours there’s parking right outside, if not, there’s plenty of street parking within easy walking distance.

Join us for a chat, a browse in the bookshop (as it’s an after-hours event) and get in from the cold. Please RSVP to Rebecca or Sally on 07 871 5257 or email teawamutu.books@paperplus.co.nz.

I look forward to seeing you there!
