February has been a month of great conversations, shared experiences, and exciting opportunities to support the ADHD community.
On a Personal Note
When I’m not writing or podcasting, I’ve been spending a lot of time in my veggie jungle, foraging and loving every minute of it.
This whopper is a tromboncino, and while I have many growing in my garden, I didn’t actually grow this one myself—I scored it at our local Crop Swap meet! Several years ago, I helped establish this little community gathering in my rural area, where backyard growers come together to swap produce, seedlings, home baking, and, of course, plenty of garden yarns! It’s a joy to see it thriving and to be reminded of the simple pleasure of sharing homegrown goodness with others.
But beyond the garden, February has been an incredible month of learning, connecting, and sharing. Here’s a look at the highlights.
Wonderful Webinars
One of the most rewarding moments this month was hosting ‘Understanding Adult ADHD’ webinars for audiences in New Zealand and Australia—the energy in the virtual rooms was incredible. We covered foundational ADHD insights, shared practical tools for managing everyday challenges, and, most importantly, reminded everyone that they are not alone in this journey.
Burnout & Boundaries
Talking to Dr Jaime Raygoza felt like a much-needed reality check. We often push ourselves beyond our limits, trying to keep up with workplaces designed for neurotypical minds. Jaime and I got into the real cost of burnout, how stress builds up unnoticed, and why so many ADHDers struggle with traditional career paths. But what I loved most about this conversation was how empowering it felt—Jaime isn’t about quick fixes or “just try harder” advice. Instead, he shared practical ways to set boundaries, advocate for accommodations, and reframe success in a way that actually works for ADHD brains. PA in your Pocket
I could have talked to Upton Rand for hours! ADHD and technology is a topic I find fascinating, and Upton has fully embraced AI as a personal assistant to make life easier. We talked about how AI can help us stay on top of schedules, organize thoughts, and even act as a second brain when working memory fails us. What stood out for me was Upton’s mindset—rather than fighting against his ADHD, he’s found creative ways to work with it using tools that adapt to his needs. If you’ve ever wished you had a little extra help keeping life together, this episode is for you: ADHDifference – Embracing ADHD.
Pondering with Purpose
This conversation with Stephon Brown was pure joy. Stephon, an improv performer and creative powerhouse, lives life with an unstoppable ADHD energy that fuels his art. We talked about the magic of improv—how it forces you to stay present, think fast, and trust yourself—skills that many ADHDers struggle with but can massively benefit from developing. What I found most inspiring was how Stephon sees his ADHD not as something to manage, but as a source of creativity, adaptability, and connection. The Value of You
I’ve always believed that finding the right support can make all the difference, and my chat with Janine VanStee reinforced that tenfold. As an ADHD coach based in the USA, Janine works with people to create strategies tailored to their unique brains, helping them move forward with confidence. We discussed why accountability is so important, how self-compassion plays a huge role in progress, and why coaching can be a game-changer for ADHDers who struggle with structure. If you’ve ever felt stuck and unsure of your next steps, this conversation is a must-listen: ADHDifference – Coaching Chatter.
