Opening up the ADHD conversation
ADHDifference.nz (2024-present): As a researched author on ADHD, my mission is to keep the ADHD conversation alive and thriving. There’s so much to share, and I firmly believe that open dialogue leads to greater understanding of ADHD, ultimately benefiting everyone.
While The Missing Piece serves as a guide for women with ADHD, I have created the podcast series ADHDifference to continue the conversation.
All episodes, videos and transcripts can be found at ADHDifference.nz.

Other Passion Projects
I have forever have been an advocate for some greater cause that is very close to my heart. Big projects have intertwined in many ways.
Rediscovering Modern-Day Homesteading
REDISCOVER.CO.NZ (2015-present) was created to not just document my rediscoveries of making things, fixing things, growing things and living more sustainably - it was to share and inspire others in this ever-growing consumer society. Under the banner of 'homesteading' it covers everything from DIY, growing, preserving, and my passionate support for the Love Food Hate Waste movement.
Screen-Free Time
SCREEN FREE PROJECT (2013-2017) was created to raise awareness of unknown consequences of extreme screen use for children and promoting screen alternatives. The reports being published overseas provided damming evidence that giving toddlers iPads for hours on end wasn't in the child's best interest. The mission was to raise awareness so it was picked up in New Zealand media, something that wasn't given a second thought it seemed in 2013. Jel and I had a blast during this time. It wasn't merely to share learnings from offshore. We were delighted to chat to press and on a regular radio feature, for alternative screen ideas for youngsters. We were invited to speak at Project Wild Things movie release in New Zealand, and made some great progress raising awareness of excessive screen use for children and promoting life-balance.

PLAN MY PLAY (2008-2016) was one of New Zealand's top independent travel blogs with over 2,000 lesser-known, free or low-cost destinations to explore. It fact, it was #1 in Google for 'free things to do in NZ'. As a single mother and keen to get out and explore with my three young boys, I found that there was no 'one place' to find local activities. Elsewhere, travel websites promoted paid activities on behalf of their advertisers, activities that the average family couldn't afford, bypassing the free fun stuff. This was a true passion project and I ran the website for many many years, before sadly stepping away to focus on other creative projects that captured my time and attention.
