I am extremely proud to announce that The Missing Piece is now available in dyslexic format, large print, Braille and DAISY!
As you may be aware, The Missing Piece is already available in paperback, audiobook and in digital formats (kindle and e-books) – so have these additional accessible reading formats too is tremendous. This is all down to the wonderful folk at ReadHowYouWant.com and DyslexicBooks.com. I believe important subject matters should be accessible to all, regardless of reading challenges.
Let me run through these formats.
For readers with dyslexia – Dyslexic Books are designed with a specific font format, Open Dyslexic, and makes letters easier to distinguish. Readers who normally struggle with swapping or flipping letters, or skipping lines, reportedly have found this font and format easier to read. This is presented in a paperback format. To order: The Missing Piece
For readers with reduced vision – the Large Print books are created in 16pt font size and designed to improve word recognition and eye tracking. They are are printed this way and are also presented in paperback.
Braille Books have been transcribed using the Carnegie Mellon Dictionary, so therefore only the words found in it are contracted. It will be as close to the printed paperback as practically possible! A Refreshable Braille Display device is required to read the Braille files.
The DAISY format in essence is a digital talking book and provides a navigable reading experience for those who are blind or print disabled.
These formats can be ordered directly via ReadHowYouWant.com and may take up to 30 days for delivery.
